Season Cookery School at Lainston House
HAMPSHIRE
Located in the beautiful converted well house and kitchen gardens of the Lainston House country house hotel just outside Winchester, Season Cookery School delivers memorable food experiences that explore the transformation of seasonal ingredients into delicious dishes. The school’s talented chefs offer a wide range of classes that change with the seasons, including barbecue masterclasses on the Big Green Egg.

The BBQ Cooking School at The BBQ Shop
SURREY
Located in Old Woking, Surrey, The BBQ Cooking School is a new venture from The BBQ Shop, a long-established emporium of all things barbecue related. Of all the many brands stocked by the shop, it is the Big Green Egg they’ve chosen to place at the heart of their cookery school. The classes, which are led by Nick Snelling, a legendary British pitmaster and part of the two-man Silverback Grillers barbecue team, are based around six kitchen stations, each with its own EGG.

Padstow Kitchen Garden
CORNWALL
Run by seventh-generation farmer, former Rick Stein chef and EGG evangelist Ross Geach, Padstow Kitchen Garden is based at the beautiful Trerethern Farm in Padstow, Cornwall. Ross, who calls the EGG “the best and most versatile outdoor oven in the world” and has spent more than a decade mastering its modes, hosts regular day-long Big Green Egg cooking workshops using meat and vegetables from the farm and local fish and shellfish from the Padstow day boats. One-to-one lessons can also be arranged by appointment.

To attend a cookery class or feast, all you need to do is make a booking by email, stating that you are a member of The Club and which course you’d like to attend. Padstow Kitchen Garden will then validate your booking with us.
Roam
Founded by Ross Anderson, Roam delivers event catering, private dining and cookery lessons devoted to cooking over fire. Ross regularly takes his mastery of the EGG on the road, delivering Roam masterclasses and demonstrations through partners including The Outdoor Kitchen Collective in St Albans, The Gog in Cambridge and The Gallery Al Fresco in Stourbridge. He even offers bespoke private classes, which can be delivered almost anywhere.
Roam also has a new permanent location. Based in the Wiltshire village of Berwick St James, just 15 minutes from Salisbury, Roam @ The Boot is a traditional public house with a stunning garden. Here, you can experience fire-cooking masterclasses using some of the best platforms on offer.

The Salt Box
SURREY
The Salt Box is a celebration of all things wild and seasonal. Set within a glen on the Priory Farm Estate in the village of South Nutfield, Surrey, and surrounded by ancient hedgerows, wildflower meadows and unspoilt woodlands, it offers experiences such as foraging walks and game butchery courses. It also runs a programme of cookery courses that focus on seasonal, wild and local ingredients, used root-to-fruit and nose-to-tail and cooked over fire, including on Big Green Eggs.
Meat Smoke Fire

Meat Smoke Fire is a family business run by Nic Williams, who spent several years working for Big Green Egg and now runs group workshops and private classes for people seeking to build outdoor cookery skills of their own. From his base just outside Cambridge, Nic offers introductory sessions for beginners as well as more advanced classes for those who’ve already got to grips with the basics and want to extend their repertoire. He also runs specialist sessions devoted to a particular cuisine or cooking style.
