Join us on Thursday 11th December for a very special Christmas fundraising dinner in support of Refettorio Felix at St Cuthbert’s Centre, an amazing drop-in centre and community kitchen in west London. Four of the country’s leading open-fire chefs are volunteering their talents to cook up a seasonal feast, using ingredients donated by HG Walter butchers. Refettorio Felix’s beautiful dining room will be dressed up for the occasion, complete with tableware donated by Sophie Allport, Christmas trees and decorations donated by Harrods.

Tickets cost £90 per head, with all profits going to support the charity’s provision of good food and companionship to the most vulnerable members of its community. Further funds will be raised through a charity auction designed for an audience of food lovers and adventure seekers.

The event will be soundtracked by a live band. After welcome drinks, there will be a pay bar with all profits going to Refettorio Felix.

CHARITY AUCTION

Central to the evening’s entertainment will be a charity auction designed for an audience of food lovers and adventure seekers. The lots on offer include dinners, experiences and products generously donated by a rollcall of amazing restaurants and hotels, including Ynyshir, The Butcher’s Tap & Grill and The Waterside Inn, and brands such as YETI, Solidteknics and (of course) Big Green Egg. Bid on anything from a Large EGG to a magnum of Rathfinny rosé, to a fire-cooking workshop and overnight stay at Hampton Manor. Every penny raised will go to Refettorio Felix.

ABOUT OUR CHEFS

Tom Booton, the youngest head chef in the history of The Grill at The Dorchester, will prepare and serve the starter inside the Big Green Egg taxi, a converted London cab complete with integrated EGG, parked outside the venue. The fish and meat courses will be cooked in a more conventional setting by Kate Austen, the first female winner of the Great British Menu main course, and Matt Burgess, the Maori chef who headed up the Caravan restaurants and now runs the Kaiwhenua food consultancy. Dessert will be prepared by Nisha Parmar, private chef to the stars.

ABOUT REFETTORIO FELIX

Refettorio Felix at St Cuthbert’s Centre is a charity based in Earl’s Court that has supported a community in need for over 35 years. In 2017, through a collaboration with chef Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore’s non-profit Food for Soul, they joined the global Refettorio network, becoming Refettorio Felix, providing an enhanced offering of restaurant-quality lunches created from surplus food in beautiful surroundings. The centre has an open-door policy welcoming guests experiencing a wide variety of issues including homelessness, social isolation, substance abuse and mental health difficulties.

No formal code. Wear whatever you like, but dress for a celebration!

No. You will be asked to show your email confirmation at the door. We will have the purchaser's name on a guest list. You will also receive an email to confirm details of the event a week before.

Sadly not. Because of the limits of the kitchen setup, the four-course meal will include both meat and fish.
