Created as part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, this stunning Chiminea is a limited-edition update on a cult classic from Big Green Egg’s past. It’s a perfect complement when cooking on the EGG, extending your outdoor gathering late into a summer’s evening or keeping your guests toasty through the colder months.
Produced in small batches from handmade casts, this wood-fuelled heater is crafted from the same NASA-grade ceramics as the Big Green Egg, offering unrivalled fuel efficiency, even heat distribution and striking good looks. The bottom of its dome is lined with a layer of lava rocks, which absorb, retain and distribute heat for prolonged warmth. The powder-coated steel grate and chimney are designed to keep the airflow consistent while directing the smoke up and away from your gathering.
Like the smoke they produce, these Chimineas won’t linger for long. Our workshop can only make a few at a time – and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

But, if you've already invested in a Big Green Egg, this beautifully built chiminea really complements the Egg and makes a great centre piece for outdoor drinks and nibbles. If you can, go for it! You won't be disappointed. P.S. It comes packed beautifully, and is straightforward to set up.

FAQs
We recommend using fresh kiln-dried wood and Big Green Egg lumpwood charcoal. Wood should be around 30cm in length. Ensure that it’s complete dry to avoid any issues with lighting or excess smoke.
To light the Chiminea, place kindling and Fire Starters in the centre, then ignite them with a long match or lighter. Once the fire is burning, you can then gradually add larger pieces of wood as the fire builds.
Allow your Chiminea to cool completely before cleaning and removing ash. Regularly remove excess ash on top of the lava stones.
Use a mild detergent and water solution to wipe down the exterior surfaces, followed by a rinse with clean water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or tools that could scratch the ceramic surface.
There is a limited 2-year warranty for the Chiminea ceramics, which covers manufacturer defects. The metal components are covered by a 1-year limited warranty for manufacturer defects.
No. The Chiminea is designed to keep you and your guests warm. That being said, it would be rude not to toast some marshmallows over the heat!
Big Green Egg Chimineas are constructed using the same premium ceramics as our EGGs, so they are built to withstand the elements. However, a cover can help keep those ceramics nice and shiny. If you wish to purchase a cover, you will need to purchase EGG Cover H.
