As the sun begins to dip on a spring evening inside the beautiful Walled Garden in Surrey, immerse yourself in fire-cooked food and the alfresco lifestyle.
Designed for anyone interested in discovering or mastering the EGG, our series of three Discovery Sessions (7–9th May) offers a compelling blend of inspiration, instruction and incredible food.
After a glass of Mirabeau wine in the sun-drenched Glasshouse, guests will be free to wander through the garden, enjoying a range of interactive experiences. Expert chefs at live demo stations will introduce the EGG’s cooking modes and key accessories. There will be a butchery demo and cocktail station, and retail stalls for browsing EGGs and accessories, Solidteknics pans and YETI drinkware and coolers.
Guests will then reconvene to dine on exceptional seasonal produce cooked on the EGG. There are two options: the communal Feasting Experience or the more intimate Chef’s Table Experience – see below for details.

Feasting Experience: £90
Feasting Experience guests will gather around the impressive table of The Long Room, a dining hall set within one of the garden’s original Victorian buildings. Here, you’ll share a lively fire-cooked feast, accompanied by a soundtrack of uplifting music.
Chef’s Table Experience: £165
Chef’s Table Experience guests (14 max) will head to the Chef’s Table, an intimate alfresco cooking and dining space with a retractable roof and outdoor heaters. Each night, a stunning menu will be created by one of our Big Green Egg Champions – expert chefs steeped in the ways of the EGG. You’ll get to watch them at work, ask questions, pick up valuable tips, and savour the resulting multi-course feast. You will also walk away with a fantastic goodie bag.
Who is hosting the Chef's Table experience?
Māori Master Chef
A proud New Zealand Māori, Matt Burgess began his culinary career in Wellington before moving to London. After working at Soho House, Bluebird, and Gordon Ramsay’s Maze Grill, he became Group Executive Chef at Caravan and Vardo Restaurants. Now running his own food consultancy and the Kai by Matblak condiment brand, he calls his Big Green Eggs the “backbone of his business.”

ABOUT THE WALLED GARDEN
Once home to the kitchen garden of the grand Cobham Park mansion, The Walled Garden has been reborn as a unique live-fire cooking venue. The cooking and dining facilities are set within a stunning two-acre garden – a circular lawn intersected by a Breedon stone pathway, surrounded by flowerbeds, trees and dormant beehives, and ringed by a tall Victorian wall.

Yes, all guests must be 18+ (proof of age may be required).
There will be plant-based and vegetarian options available, but please be aware that they are likely to be prepared using some of the same cooking surfaces as dishes that include meat and dairy.
We will, but you will need to tell us of your needs in advance. After buying your tickets, please send an email to [email protected] or call 01962 793 800.
No. You will be asked to show your email confirmation at the door. We will also have the purchasers’ names on a guest list.
Bookings are final; tickets can’t be exchanged or refunded after purchase. If you do wish to cancel, please provide as much notice as possible so that we can try to refill your seats and offer a refund. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
The welcome drinks and both dining experiences take place in spaces that are or can be completely under cover. The outdoor immersive experiences will still go ahead, but we will take measures to ensure your participation is as dry and comfortable as possible.

The Walled Garden is 10-minute taxi ride from Cobham & Stoke d’Abernon station, which offers direct trains to London and Guildford.
