RB73 QUARUBA OUTDOOR FIREPLACE

Extend those hours of outside entertaining by enjoying the warmth of this outdoor wood-burning fireplace.

The RB73 Quaruba combines a striking industrial look with exceptional performance. Handmade in the Netherlands by RENY, the fireplace is constructed from 3mm corten steel – a characterful, corrosion-resistant steel alloy. A mobile platform with castor wheels allows the fireplace to be manoeuvred into place, while also creating a convenient space for a wood pile.

The Quaruba comes in two sizes: the Large and the XL

Code: AC-RB73-Q-MOB-L

No terrace without a fire…

Attention to detail

RB73 fireplaces are fabricated by hand in the workshops of RENY, a highly respected Dutch family business based in Duizel, famed for its attention to detail.

360° flames

All four sides are equipped with a clean glass system, which creates airflow close to the windows, ensuring the glass remains clear and allowing you to enjoy the dance of the flames from every angle.

Smokeless design

The Quaruba’s tall, elegant chimney maximises the heat while keeping the woodsmoke away from your seating area.

FAQs

RB73 Outdoor Fireplaces are made from corten steel and the mounting materials are made from stainless steel. This ensures they have a very long lifespan and do not require any post-treatment.

Maintenance recommendations

  • If the fireplace is not going to be used for a while, remove the ash to prevent it from getting wet. Damp ash makes it harder to light the stove.
  • Keep the glass clean to prevent dirt from being burnt in, which makes it hard to get rid of.
  • Every fireplace comes with a tube of copper grease. The hinges have been lubricated at the factory, but we recommend that you grease them once a year.

How to grease the hinges

  1. Open the door
  2. Lift the door out of the hinge pin
  3. Put some copper grease in the hole of the top of the hinge that is welded to the door
  4. Replace the door

We have a 2 year warranty on both the Quaruba and Fennek models.

RB73 fireplaces utilise special heat-resistant glass with an “air spoiler” above each pane. Air flows naturally into the stove through a small gap above the glass, creating a layer of air in front of the window and ensuring that the glass remains clean.

Using dry untreated wood (max 20% moisture) and no paper during lighting helps ensure clean windows.

If the glass does turn black, special window cleaners are available in most DIY stores. The disadvantage of those is the windows can get greasy.

A good method of cleaning the glass is to wet a piece of kitchen paper, dab it in the stove ashes, then use this to clean the windows. Afterwards, dry the glass with a fresh piece of kitchen paper. Works perfectly!

We’ve made a video to show you how to get a wood fire burning with clean combustion and less smoke developmentm reducing its impact on neighbours and the environment. We use a top-down method for this, characterised by the cross stacking of split dry wood, on top of kindling and a few firelighters. The fire gets enough air in the start-up phase and the flue is heated quickly, which ensures a good draft and a clean combustion.

Burning tips

  • Use dry (15-20% moisture) untreated wood
  • Use the top-down method
  • Use firelighters but no newspaper or paper
  • To provide extra air, leave the door ajar when starting the fire
  • At the end, let the fire burn out quietly

How to light an RB73 Outdoor Fireplace

Yes. This is the beauty of working with corten steel, which thrives outdoors. Exposure to the elements creates a natural rustic patina which protects the metal without the need for treatment or covering.

Fireplaces are usually delivered within 5 working days to anywhere on mainland UK via our free standard pallet delivery.
